12 Days of Pretty day #5

Hey ya’ll! Winter has approached us and dry skin season for us dry gals. Since moving back up north a few years ago my dry skin has gone into overdrive! I’ve had dry skin ever since I could remember. I lived in Florida for 11 years and had dry skin there too but not as bad as I do now. I wanted to share some products I use for my dry skin. The first product is a cleanser now I go back an forth between which cleanser I use. Depending on how my skin is that day right now I’m using the Elf Daily Cleanser which is super affordable and great if my is having a okay day. My go to face wash is the Simple Moisturizing face wash because it’s gentle on the skin while giving me hydration. Another great cleanser that I use to take my makeup off is the Elf Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser. This amazing for taking of makeup it literally melts of your makeup! If I’m wearing makeup that day I’ll normally use a makeup wipe to remove most of my makeup then go in with this cleanser. After I use a cleanser I will go in with a exfoilater now depending on how dry and flakey my skin is I will pick from a few different ones. The fist one is my go to when my skin is super dry is the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion exfoilater it has a sandpaper feel but works great! It really helps get dead skin off and my skin feels softer and smother! I received it in my Fab.Fit.Fun box and I am so glad I did now it is a bit pricey but I think I would have purchased it on my own! I normally use this the night before I know i’m going to wear makeup the next day because I have sensitive skin and when I wear it my face can get a bit red. Now I’ve heard using this everyday is not good for your skin so I switch between this and the Garnier one because it’s a bit more gentle. Plus it is a 2 in 1 so when I don’t feel like using multiple products I grab this one! It still dose a great job of exfoliating I did do a review. When I feel like I need a bit more I use this O.R.G Peel this stuff is magic it instantly removes dead skin. You spray it all over your face then massage it all over your skin you can feel the dead skin come off! It leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. It dose have a strong chemical smell so if your sensitive to smells stay away. The next step in my routine after my cleanser , exfoilater I go in with my Pixi Glowtonic toner. I put some on a cotton round. I do not find it leaves my skin super glowy but the one thing about this toner is it also exfoilater but it’s mild. I do not use it everyday because I have sensitive skin and don’t want to irritate it. After I have applied my toner if I have used it that day I’ll go in with a facial oil either the Tarte Maracuja Oil or the Skin Laundry Restoring Night Serum. I got the Tarte oil sample in a Ipsy bag awhile ago. I try get as much hydration as I can. It says to use at night but sometimes I’ll use it before makeup as a extra step before moisturizer especially in the winter. Moisturizer is the last step in my routine. I use the Pound’s Rejuveness Cream at night because it is thicker than others. I find it helps keep my skin moisturized and doesn’t leave my skin greasy as long as you don’t apply too much. I have also enjoying the Garnier Moisture Bomb sample I got in in my Target Beauty Box . So far it has been working under makeup but I normally use the Target UP&UP brand moisturizer which is lightweight.

My skincare routine isn’t too extravagant but it works! What are your go to products for dry skin? I am always on the hunt for new products for my dry skin!

Great reviews! I too suffer from horribly dry skin! My knuckles and lips especially always make it look like I was just in a fight. Will have to find some of this stuff!

I love the Simple line. It is really gentle on skin and their gel moisturizer is great for summer.

I LOVE the Pixi Glowtonic. I have it in the pads and it’s definitely helped the tone of my face. The Simple line is great too.
